Step 1. For best possible results, exfoliate prior to application. Moisturise only dry areas including elbow, knees, ankles and feet.
Step 2. Shake well, pump a small amount of mousse onto your Deluxe Velvet Tanning Glove.
Step 3. Using long sweeping motions, applying mousse directly to your body. Making sure you blend as you go to ensure an even coverage. Ensure all areas are covered before lightly gliding excess tan over your ankles and feet. Use Mother of Tan Self Tanning Brush for best possible results for face and hands.
Step 4. Wait until touch dry before getting dressed. Avoid perspiration or water until tan is developed.
Step 5. Shower off after 6-8 hours to reveal your gorgeous tan. For even darker results reapply Mother of Tan Self Tanning Mousse 30 mins after your initial application.

Is Mother of Tan appropriate for all ages?

Our self tan is safe for all ages and skin types however simply patch test the day prior to check for skin sensitivity particularly on people under 16 years old.

Will I turn “orange.”

Mother of Tan is proud to deliver an amazing natural looking glow. We have spent a very long time testing and changing ingredients that will work with the individuals’ skin tone that will not turn orange.

How can I cover stretchmarks?

Mother of Tan self tan can help reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks. Simply apply a small amount of product to the area with a cotton tip. Leave overnight then wash away. Apply your all over tan as normal.

Does Mother of Tan have that “biscuit” smell?

This smell is simply derived from an ingredient called DHA found in all tanning products. In order to disguise this smell for as long as possible we have added a beautiful Strawberry Daquiri fragrance, invigorating that holiday feeling. This makes the whole tanning process very pleasant and enjoyable.

Can I use while pregnant?

All self tan products are generally safe to use during pregnancy, we do however highly recommend you consult with your doctor.

How do I apply the self tanning mousse?

We recommend applying Mother of Tan with our luxurious velvet tanning glove and sunless tanning brush for a streak free, flawless tan.

DARK- Natural looking self tan as you would look coming back from a Mediterranean holiday.
ULTRA DARK- Your darkest possible self tan without the “orange”.

How long do I leave tanning mousse on?

The longer you leave your tan the darker your tan. For a dark tan leave for 6-8 hours (or overnight).

How long will my self tan stay on?

5- 7 days on average if you keep your tan hydrated. Using a daily moisturiser is recommended.

How do I remove stubborn fake tan?

Watch the remainder of your old tan peel off along with your dead skin cells with the Mother of Tan exfoliating glove. NO chemicals No nasties, just a natural glove and water.

Best tan EVER

Okay, I put this on 9 days ago. I train 5 days a week, have worn strappy heels, had a photoshoot and it has not budged ANYWHERE. No streaks, no patches, absolutely not coming off anywhere and we’re over a week in! I’m naturally pale so this gives just a perfect realistic tan. Love love LOVE. Plus it smells amazing! YOU NEED THIS

I love everything about this product. It has a gorgeous smell when I apply it, goes on evenly, it doesn't stain my clothes and gives me a beautiful even glow. I will definitely be using it again :)
